Welcome
After navigating through global uncertainty and a long pause, Jakarta International Summer Music Festival returns in 2026 with renewed spirit, vision, and direction.
HOME | Legacy in Motion is not merely the return of a music camp — it is the continuation of a living and growing educational legacy.
The 2026 edition holds special significance. JISMF alumni — who have now completed studies at various world-renowned music institutions — return as faculty members.
For one full week, participants will undergo an intensive artistic experience: living together in a creative community, attending lessons and masterclasses, and performing in concerts every evening. The festival culminates with the Indonesia Open Competition (IOC) and closes with a Gala Concert.
About
JISMF 2026 is designed as an intensive training programme to help young musicians prepare for music competitions at an international level.
Unlike conventional festivals, JISMF presents a focused learning ecosystem where participants develop artistic strategies, mental readiness, and a deep understanding of global competition standards.
Approach
Intentional competition programming
Beyond technique into expression
Peak performance under pressure
World competition expectations
Performance
Participants will perform in concerts every evening alongside fellow participants and faculty.
Each performance serves as a vital step in developing stage readiness, confidence, and artistic maturity.
Methodology
After each internal concert, participants join in-depth evaluation sessions with faculty, discussing specific aspects of artistry, technique, and stage presentation.
Artistic and Educational Excellence
One of the greatest strengths of JISMF 2026 lies in its faculty — alumni of the festival who have now graduated from international music institutions and are active as performers and educators.
As alumni, they deeply understand the needs, challenges, and characteristics of Indonesian students.
With youthful energy and a global perspective, they effectively bridge international standards with local context.
For parents, JISMF 2026 presents tangible proof of long-term educational impact — from participant to international graduate, returning as a professional mentor.
